What belongs to Blanket Loft</h2>\n<p>Unless stated otherwise, the following are owned by Blanket Loft or used under license, and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws in the United States and internationally:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>the Blanket Loft name, the roof-and-folded-blankets logo and the site&#8217;s visual identity;</li>\n<li>blanket designs, patterns, borders, illustrations, lettering layouts and color combinations created for our products;</li>\n<li>product photographs, lifestyle images and graphics on the site;</li>\n<li>product descriptions, size guides, care guides, policies and other written content;</li>\n<li>the layout, structure and code of the site, including its public data feeds.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Buying a blanket gives you ownership of that physical blanket. It does not transfer any rights in the design, so you may not reproduce the design on other products or sell copies of it.</p>\n<h2>2. What you may do</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>View, download and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, such as printing our size guide.</li>\n<li>Share links to our pages and products by message, email or social media.</li>\n<li>Post photos of a Blanket Loft blanket you own, for example your dog asleep on it. We love seeing them.</li>\n<li>Quote short extracts of our text in a review or article, with a link back to the original page.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>3. What you may not do</h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy, reproduce or resell our designs, product photos or descriptions, including on marketplaces, print-on-demand services or other stores.</li>\n<li>Create products, templates or digital files based on our designs.</li>\n<li>Use the Blanket Loft name or logo, or anything confusingly similar, in a way that suggests you are us or are connected with us, including in domain names, social media handles or advertising keywords.</li>\n<li>Scrape or bulk-download the site&#8217;s images or content with automated tools, other than normal indexing by search engines.</li>\n<li>Remove copyright notices or other identifying information from our content.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>4. What we will and will not print</h2>\n<p>Personalized blankets mean customers send us their own words and pictures. To respect other people&#8217;s rights, we apply these rules to every order:</p>\n<table class=\"policy-table\">\n<caption>Content rules for personalized blankets</caption>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th scope=\"col\">Type of content</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Do we print it?</th>\n<th scope=\"col\">Notes</th>\n</tr>\n</thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>Names, nicknames, dates, places, short personal messages</td>\n<td>Yes</td>\n<td>Printed exactly as entered</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Your own photos of family, friends and pets</td>\n<td>Yes</td>\n<td>You must have permission from identifiable adults shown</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Professional photos you commissioned</td>\n<td>Yes, with the photographer&#8217;s print release</td>\n<td>We may ask you to confirm the release</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Commissioned digital portraits</td>\n<td>Yes, if the artist allows printing on products</td>\n<td>We may ask you to confirm</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Sports team names and logos, brand logos, school crests</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Unless you hold a license that covers this use and can show it</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Cartoon, film, TV, game or book characters</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Including drawings &#8220;in the style of&#8221; a specific character</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Photos or likenesses of celebrities or public figures</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Their image is protected by publicity rights</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Images found online or from stock libraries</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Unless you have a license that allows printing on products</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Song lyrics and full poems still in copyright</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Short phrases and public-domain lines are fine</td>\n</tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content</td>\n<td>No</td>\n<td>Not an IP issue, but we decline it under our Terms</td>\n</tr>\n</tbody>\n</table>\n<p>If an order includes content we cannot print, we contact you before production and offer to change it. If you prefer, we cancel the order and refund it in full, as described in our <a href=\"/cancel-change-order/\">Cancel or Change an Order</a> page.</p>\n<h2>5. Our trademarks</h2>\n<p>&#8220;Blanket Loft&#8221; and our logo are our trademarks. You may use the name to refer to us accurately, for example in a review or an article, but not as part of your own brand, product name or domain, and not in a way that suggests we sponsor or endorse you. Other names, brands and marks mentioned on the site, such as carrier or payment provider names, belong to their owners; mentioning them does not mean they endorse Blanket Loft.</p>\n<h2>6. Respecting other people&#8217;s rights</h2>\n<p>Our designs are created for Blanket Loft or licensed for use on our products. We do not knowingly sell items that infringe anyone&#8217;s trademark, copyright, design right or right of publicity. When a design is added to the store, we check it against these rules, and if we learn that a design may infringe someone&#8217;s rights, we review it promptly and remove it from sale while we investigate where appropriate.</p>\n<h2>7. How to report an intellectual property concern</h2>\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:support@blanketloft.com\">support@blanketloft.com</a> with the subject &#8220;IP concern&#8221; and include:</p>\n<ol>\n<li>your name, contact details and relationship to the rights owner (owner, employee, lawyer or agent);</li>\n<li>the right you believe is infringed: for a trademark, the mark and its registration number and country if registered; for a design or publicity right, a description and evidence of ownership;</li>\n<li>the URL of each product or page concerned, and which element of it you object to;</li>\n<li>a short explanation of why you believe it infringes;</li>\n<li>a statement that the information in your report is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights owner.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>For copyright, please follow the specific steps on our <a href=\"/dmca/\">DMCA</a> page, because the law requires particular statements in a copyright notice.</p>\n<h2>8. What happens after you report</h2>\n<p>We acknowledge your report within 1 business day and review it within 5 business days. If we need more information, we ask before deciding. If the concern is valid, we remove the product or content, stop making the design, and confirm this to you in writing. If we disagree, we explain why. If a customer&#8217;s personalized order is affected, we contact the customer as well, without sharing your personal details beyond what is necessary.</p>\n<h2>9. Your content stays yours</h2>\n<p>When you send us a photo, a drawing your child made, or a family story to set into a design, you keep all rights in it. We do not claim ownership of anything you upload. You give us permission to use it only to make, check and deliver your blanket and to handle any return or reprint, and we delete it on the schedule set out in our <a href=\"/privacy-policy/\">Privacy Policy</a>. A blanket made from your child&#8217;s drawing is your family&#8217;s design, not ours, and we will never sell it to anyone else.</p>\n<h2>10. Real requests and how we answer them</h2>\n<h3>&#8220;Can you put my son&#8217;s favorite football team logo on his name blanket?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>No. Team names, crests and logos are trademarks owned by the team or its league. Instead, we can make a name blanket in the team&#8217;s colors with a generic ball, number or pattern, which carries no one else&#8217;s mark.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;Can you make a baby blanket with a famous cartoon bear?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>No. Even a hand-drawn version of a well-known character is a copy of that character. Our own illustrated animals are drawn for Blanket Loft and can be personalized in the same way.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;I have our wedding photos from the photographer. Can I use one?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>Usually yes. Most wedding photographers provide a print release for personal use; if yours does, the photo can be printed on a blanket for you. If the photographer has not given a print release, ask them first. Many will say yes straight away.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;My grandmother designed her own quilt pattern. Can you reproduce it?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>Yes, if the family is happy for it to be reproduced. Send us a clear photo of the quilt and we will tell you whether it can be printed or woven faithfully.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;Can you copy a blanket I saw in another shop?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>We will not copy another shop&#8217;s design, because that design belongs to them. Tell us what you liked about it, for example the colors, a layout with names in a circle or a cozy cabin theme, and we will suggest one of our own designs with the same feel, or a simple custom arrangement of your names and photos.</p>\n<h3>&#8220;Can I sell blankets I buy from you?&#8221;</h3>\n<p>You may resell a blanket you own as a second-hand item. You may not offer our designs as your own product, take orders for them, or reproduce them, and you may not use our product photos in your listing without permission.</p>\n<h2>11. Counterfeits and websites pretending to be us</h2>\n<p>If you see a website, marketplace listing or social media account using the Blanket Loft name or logo, selling our designs, or using our product photos, it is not connected with us unless it links back to blanketloft.com. Please send us the link. If you bought something from a site you thought was ours and the order never arrived, check whether the order confirmation came from an @blanketloft.com address; if not, contact your bank or payment provider, and let us know so we can report the site.</p>\n<h2>12. Ideas, suggestions and design requests</h2>\n<p>Customers often suggest design ideas, such as a new layout for twin names or a pattern for a favorite hobby. We are grateful for them. If you send us an idea, we may use it without owing you payment, but we will never publish your name, photos or personal story without your permission. If you are a professional designer offering artwork for licensing, please say so in your first message so we treat it as a business proposal rather than a suggestion.</p>\n<h2>13. Permission requests</h2>\n<p>If you would like to use our photos, text or designs, for example in a gift guide or a news article, email us explaining what you would like to use and where. We usually say yes to editorial uses with a link and credit, and we reply within 1 business day.</p>\n<h2>14. Contact</h2>\n<p>For any question about this policy, email <a href=\"mailto:support@blanketloft.com\">support@blanketloft.com</a> or write to Blanket Loft, 1806 E.
